Get to know Itagres
In 1982, it started the trajectory of one of the porcelain and ceramic references in Santa Catarina State. Belonging to Ghisoni Bortoluzzi Family, the company named Tubarão Floors started the production of 20x20 format coatings in small quantities.
In search of the growing trend, in 1991 Mr. Humberto Ghizzo Bortoluzzi revealed the new profile of the company, with the purpose of producing high standard coatings. The readjustment of the industrial park and investments in technology and design were key points about this new stage. As a symbol of this new change, the old factory Tubarão Floors gave its place to Itagres Revestimentos Cerâmicos. This transformation would mark forever the history of the great brand Itagres.
The constant technological improvement contributed to Itagres to continue its expansion process, initiating the manufacture of porcelain in the early 2000s, and the launch of the vitrified and rectified porcelain tiles, being until today one of the only manufacturers in this category worldwide.

A decade later, following the trend of the porcelain market, the company took a big technological advance, implementing the HD technology in its manufacturing plant. This was one of the major technological developments in fully digital printing system, providing our products endless design possibilities.
